  11. This program is SHAREWARE. Distribution of the UNREGISTERED 
  12. version of this program is encouraged as long as it is copied 
  13. in whole and remains unaltered.  No fee may be asked for this 
  14. program itself, but a nominal distribution fee may be charged

  16. the purchaser of said diskette is informed that the fee for

  43. NOTE: This program is shipped without the file "VBRUN300.DLL".
  44. and "COMMDLG.DLL".  This was done to save disk space and download 
  45. time.  VBRUN300.DLL is widely available and in fact may 
  46. already be in your windows\system directory.  Vbrun300.dll is 
  47. required for this program to function.  It will be necessary 
  48. to obtain a copy of VBRUN300.DLL in order to install and run 
  49. this program.  COMMDLG.DLL is normally supplied with windows
  50. and should be in your windows\system directory.  If you need
  51. either of these files they are available on our home page.
  52.  
  53.   1. IMAGE MASTER + is a screen saver and image viewer for 
  54.      windows that can use your own images and midi files. 
  55.      IMAGE MASTER can play music from a CD-ROM. Music can 
  56.      play as pictures are being displayed.  You can select 
  57.      Password protection if desired.  Messages can be 
  58.      left on the screen.
  59.   
  60.   2. IMAGE MASTER + can be installed as a standard Window's 
  61.      Screen saver from Window's desk top, or can be used from 
  62.      the Program Group that IMAGE MASTER + makes for windows.
  63.      IMAGE MASTER + can be used as both.
  64.   
  65.   3. IMAGE MASTER + can be used as a screen saver and/or an 
  66.      image viewer. If you have installed IMAGE MASTER + as a 
  67.      screen saver, and want to use it from the program manager 
  68.      to leave a message or make your system password protected 
  69.      while you have to be temporarily away, you can do this by 
  70.      double clicking the IMAGE MASTER + Icon.  If IMAGE MASTER +
  71.      is running from the program manager, it will not invoke 
  72.      itself as a screen saver even if the amount of time has 
  73.      passed to call it as a screen saver from the desktop.
  74.  
  75.   4. IMAGE MASTER + is ideal for corporations that need a screen 
  76.      saver that can use their own pictures or corporate logos.
  77.      It is also ideal for users who want a way to display their
  78.      own images (regardless of format) as a screen saver or 
  79.      as a stand alone program.
  80.               
  81.   5. IMAGE MASTER + is now shipped with CSA, the Calendar - 
  82.      Scheduler - Alarm utility from Accidental Software.  
  83.      This utility provides a quick reference calendar and 
  84.      scheduler.  It also allows you to Set an alarm so that
  85.      items will pop up on your screen when the specified 
  86.      date and time are reached.  NOTE: Touch Start must be
  87.      running for the alarm portion of this application to
  88.      function.  See How do I use the program from the Windows
  89.      Program Manager (#4.) below for information on how to 
  90.      active Touch Start each time windows is started.
  91.  
  92. How do I install the program?
  93.   
  94.   1. Install IMAGE MASTER + for Windows from a disk.
  95.       
  96.       a. Start Microsoft Windows.
  97.       
  98.       b. Insert the disk in the proper drive. 
  99.       
  100.       c. From the Window's Program Manager, select FILE MENU 
  101.      and choose RUN.
  102.       
  103.       d. Type B:\SETUP and press Enter.  Substitute your 
  104.      drive letter for "B:" if your disk is in a 
  105.      different drive.
  106.  
  107.   2. Install IMAGE MASTER + for Windows from a modem download or 
  108. "ZIP" file.
  109.       
  110.       a. Unzip your Image Master archive.
  111.       
  112.       b. Start Microsoft Windows.
  113.       
  114.       c. From the Window's Program Manager, select FILE MENU 
  115.      and choose RUN.
  116.       
  117.       d. Select Browse, then find the drive and directory to 
  118.      which Image Master Plus was downloaded and unzipped.  
  119.      Double click on the file "SETUP.EXE" then click on 
  120.      the O.K. command button.
  121.  
  122.       e. Follow the prompts from the setup program.
  123.  
  124.       f. If the setup asks you how many disks are provided with
  125.      your Image Master + package, select one (1).
  126.  
  127. Trouble shooting.
  128.  
  129.    1. In some cases, if you are using a program that is 
  130.       accessing or using a DLL or other file that IMAGE 
  131.       MASTER + uses and installs, you may receive a message 
  132.       during installation that warns you that a file can not 
  133.       be installed since it is already in use by your system.  
  134.       You can choose Ignore to this warning and the program 
  135.       should install correctly.
  136.  
  137. Known program limitations.
  138.  
  139.    1. Image Master Plus requires that approximately 60% of windows
  140.       system recourses are free if you are attempting to use JPG 
  141.       compressed pictures.  If the program behaves erratically 
  142.       or doesn't show your JPG pictures correctly, insure system
  143.       resources are at or above 60%. 
  144.  
  145.    2. Windows 95 allows the user to select a program choice from
  146.       a list of active programs if the combination keys (ctrl + Alt +
  147.       Del) are pressed.  This would allow someone to close Image  
  148.       Master Plus, effectively negating the security provided 
  149.       by password protection.  If you must have security with windows
  150.       95, you can force the computer to reboot if the (ctrl + Alt +
  151.       Del) key combination is selected.  Insure you have a secure
  152.       password for entering windows 95 when the computer reboots and 
  153.       your computer should be reasonably secure.  To force the 
  154.       computer to reboot with the above key combination you must 
  155.       add the following line to the [386Enh] section of your windows
  156.       SYSTEM.INI file.  NOTE: the SYSTEM.INI file can be found in
  157.       your windows directory.
  158.   
  159.       localreboot=FALSE
  160.    
  161. How do I make IMAGE MASTER + the active screen saver?
  162.    
  163.    1. Select "yes" to the inquiry during installation that
  164.       asks if you want Image Master + to be installed as the 
  165.       current screen saver.  This will place Image Master +
  166.       as the current screen saver on your system with a 
  167.       5 minute time of inactivity to start the program.
  168.       The 5 minute "time out" will not take effect until  
  169.       windows has been exited and reentered after Image 
  170.       Master + installation.
  171.    
  172.    2. You can select Saver Set Up from the Miscellaneous 
  173.       menu to access the Saver Set Up utility in the program.
  174.       Turn the Image Master + screen saver function on or off
  175.       as well as selecting the amount inactive keyboard or 
  176.       mouse time before the screen saver portion of the program
  177.       starts.
  178.  
  179. Alternative method for making Image Master + the active screen
  180. saver.
  181.  
  182.    1. Once IMAGE MASTER + is successfully installed, it may be 
  183.       selected as the current screen saver from windows.  
  184.       
  185.       a. From the Windows Program Manager, select MAIN.
  186.       
  187.       b. From MAIN select CONTROL PANEL.
  188.       
  189.       c. From CONTROL PANEL select DESK TOP.
  190.       
  191.       d. From DESK TOP select the arrow key next to SCREEN 
  192.      SAVER.
  193.       
  194.       e. From the menu, select IMAGE MASTER +.
  195.    
  196.    2. The above steps will select IMAGE MASTER + as the 
  197.       current screen saver.  Use the SET UP button to select 
  198.       the features of the program you want.  It is possible to 
  199.       select and preview pictures, MIDI files, and CD-ROM 
  200.       audio.
  201.  
  202.    3. Push the TEST button to run the screen saver program 
  203.       as a test.
  204.    
  205.    4. Select the desired inactive time for the screen saver 
  206.       program to implement itself.
  207.  
  208. How do I use the program from the Windows Program Manager?
  209.  
  210.    1. If the Image Master + program group is not open, double 
  211.       click on the IMAGE MASTER + program group.
  212.  
  213.    2. To run Image Master +, double click on its Icon.
  214.  
  215.    3. The program will start in the Set Up Mode.  Select the 
  216.       options you want, then push the Screen Saver button to 
  217.       start the program.
  218.  
  219.    4. Touch Start:  Double click the Touch Start Icon to 
  220.       activate the touch start hot corners.  A green line
  221.       appears at the bottom left of your screen to indicate
  222.       where to place your mouse to start Image Master +. 
  223.       Touch Start activation can be terminated by moving the
  224.       mouse pointer to the bottom right (red line) of the 
  225.       screen.  If the Touch Start check box is activated,
  226.       Touch Start will reactivate itself after the screen 
  227.       saver portion of Image Master + has terminated.
  228.  
  229. What are the program features?
  230.   
  231.   1. Registered users can add up to 500 Bit Map files 
  232.      (500 images) in each Slide Show provided.
  233.      These images can be located in any directory on your 
  234.      hard drive or floppy drives.  You can even us your CD-ROM
  235.      as a source of pictures.  If you have Kodak's Access 
  236.      software, you can use Image master to show you photo CDs.   
  237.   
  238.   2. Registered users can add up to 100 Midi or Wave Audio
  239.      selections for each Slide Show to be played as 
  240.      the program displays your pictures. 
  241.   
  242.   3. Set the length of time for the picture to remain on the 
  243.      display before the next one replaces it. This time 
  244.      ranges from 3 seconds to 1 minute.
  245.   
  246.   4. Any image can be used as long as it a PCX or BMP file,
  247.      (UNREGISTERED VERSION).  The REGISTERED VERSION of 
  248.      Image Master + will access the following additional file 
  249.      formats.  .DIB, .TGA, .EPS, .TIF, .JPG, CMP, .CAL, 
  250.      .IMG, .MAC, .MSP, .PCD, PCT, RAS, WPG.  NOTE: Photo CD 
  251.      images (.PCD) require Kodak's Access Software.
  252.   
  253.   5. You need not copy any picture or midi file to any other 
  254.      directory to use it.  IMAGE MASTER + can find and use 
  255.      your files from any valid hard drive, floppy or CD-ROM
  256.      drive and directory on your computer. 
  257.   
  258.   6. You can add or delete picture and midi files and set 
  259.      the picture delay through the standard setup button 
  260.      provided by windows for screen savers or by starting 
  261.      IMAGE MASTER + from the program manager by double clicking 
  262.      on its Icon.
  263.   
  264.   7. You can use scanned images as long as the image is 
  265.      saved in a format that is compatible with IMAGE MASTER 
  266.      (see 4. above for details.) 
  267.   
  268.   8. You can display your pictures with their original
  269.      size or you can select a size based on a percentage
  270.      of your screen size. If the [ ] Maintain Original Picture
  271.      size check box is not selected, the picture display size 
  272.      can be varied from 100% of the screen to 50% of the screen 
  273.      size.  Pictures will retain the correct aspect ratio 
  274.      regardless of Screen mode or screen size selected.  You 
  275.      can elect to have your picture displayed with a frame 
  276.      around it or without frame.
  277.  
  278.   9. You can randomize the order in which your images are 
  279.      displayed. Click on the Randomize Picture Order check
  280.      box to choose this option.
  281.  
  282.  10. The speed that Image Master uses to put your images
  283.      to the screen can be adjusted.  Select Picture Attributes, 
  284.      then slide the selector bar to the slower or faster end of 
  285.      the adjuster bar to vary this speed.
  286.   
  287.  11. Any mouse button press and most keyboard keys will 
  288.      terminate Image Master and return you to the 
  289.      application you were using before Image Master 
  290.      started.  The following keys have special meaning.
  291.  
  292.     1.  If MIDI is selected, pushing the "M" key
  293.     on the keyboard will toggle the MIDI selections
  294.     playing to mute and back on again.
  295.  
  296.     2. If you have CD-Audio selected, pushing  the 
  297.     "space" bar will bring up an audio selector 
  298.     panel.  You can select Previous, Next, Play, 
  299.     Pause, and Stop with this selector bar.
  300.  
  301.     3. The "P" key will pause Image Master on the present 
  302.     image.  Pushing "P" again will toggle pause off.
  303.  
  304.  12.  You can use a Password to protect access to your 
  305.       computer when Image Master is running.
  306.  
  307.  13.  You can leave a message for any visitors you may 
  308.       have while you are away from your computer, or 
  309.       messages you may want to display to the public.
  310.  
  311.  14.  You can use Photo CD as a source for your pictures 
  312.       (REGISTERED VERSION ONLY).  You can also choose 
  313.       one of several options available for displaying 
  314.       your pictures such as gray scale and flipping your 
  315.       image.
  316.  
  317.  15.  CD-ROM audio is available in both the registered 
  318.       and unregistered versions.  If your CD-ROM is capable 
  319.       of playing CD-AUDIO, you can select it as the source 
  320.       of music for Image Master.
  321.  
  322.  16.  Touch Start is available.  The touch start Icon will
  323.       will set a "HOT" corner that will allow Image Master +
  324.       to be started by moving your mouse to the GREEN HOT 
  325.       CORNER of your screen.  Touch Start can be terminated
  326.       by moving your mouse to the RED CORNER of your screen.
  327.       You can place the touch start icon in your windows 
  328.       start up program group to have it run automatically
  329.       each time windows is started.  Activate the Touch
  330.       Start check box (in Utilities of Picture Attributes)
  331.       to have Touch Start reinstate itself after Image Master +
  332.       has run.  Touch the lavender line at the top center 
  333.       of the screen to activate the CSA utility shipped 
  334.       with this program.

  336.  17.  See a full screen view of the picture during setup
  337.       by clicking on the small view of the picture.
  338.  
  339.  18.  Use the Picture Collage option to place 4 pictures on
  340.       your screen at one time.  A 16 bit color screen or higher
  341.       screen mode is recommended for this option.

  343. How do I register?
  344.  
  345.   1. How much? $19.95

  347.   2. Your program is converted to the Registered version after
  348.      the proper registration code is received from Accidental 
  349.      Software and entered into the program.  You will need to 
  350.      supply Accidental Software the REGISTRATION ID number for  
  351.      your program. NO PROGRAM DISK WILL BE SENT.

  353.   3. Obtain your REGISTRATION ID number from the Information
  354.      sub menu of REGISTRATION.  The REGISTRATION ID number is
  355.      also on your registration form if you decide to print one.

  357.   4. Call 1-800-771-6746 or 1-619-247-2804 with your Visa or 
  358.      MasterCard and we will provide you with the Registration 
  359.      Key number you need to convert your program to the registered 
  360.      version.  You can also FAX us at 1-619-247-6819 with your 
  361.      Visa or MasterCard Information.  We will FAX your 
  362.      REGISTRATION ID number back after verification.

  364.   5. Alternately, print out a registration form and send it 
  365.      along with a check or money order to Accidental Software.

  393.      on the hard disk.  Unfortunately, if your windows directory is
  394.      erased or your hard disk is wiped out or reformatted, Image Master
  395.      Plus will need a new Registration Key number.  Our 800 number

  397.      reason.  Alternately, you can FAX or Email us the Registration
  398.      ID number for which you need a new key.

  427.     
  428.     Use this Icon to remove Image Master Plus from 
  429.     your hard drive.  This Icon will remove all files that were
  430.     installed to your hard drive by this program, with the 
  431.     following exceptions.
